Inclement Weather

When the weather is inclement students may enter when they arrive, and remain in the main hallway until regular entry time. Inclement weather is declared when it is pouring rain, lightning storms, or when the temperature is below –27 Celsius, including wind-chill.

Under inclement weather conditions, recess periods will be shortened or held indoors. The decision to hold recess indoors is made by the principal. Weather data may be used from various sites such as:

Buses are cancelled if the temperature or wind chill exceed -45 degrees between 5:30 and 6:30 am. The decision to cancel buses is made by the superintendent. In the event the buses are cancelled they remain cancelled for the day regardless of the temperature. You can confirm that buses are cancelled by visiting our Advisory site. You can subscribe to the site by clicking "notify me". You will receive an advisory email if the buses have been cancelled.
