Rollerblades, Skateboards, Scooters and Heelies

Students in Grades 5 to 8 are permitted to bring their rollerblades, skateboards and scooters to school if all school and safety guidelines are observed. This privilege is subject to regular review and monitoring and can be denied to individuals if problems arise. Equipment must be carried on school property from 8:30 to 4:00.

We ask that Grade 1-4 children not bring their blades, skateboards or skooters to school, and that this become a privilege in middle years.

When children bring their riding equipment to school we assume they have parent permission to do so.

When children wear "heelys" (shoes with wheels in the heels) to school, we expect that they will be removed for the school day and replaced with regular indoor shoes. Students are not permitted to wear "heelys" at recess.
