Emergency Evacuation

In the unlikely event that we were forced to evacuate the school premises and could not return to the building, we would evacuate our students and staff to Linden Christian School located in Grant Memorial Baptist Church at 877 Wilkes. The church auditorium has ample space to house our students comfortably, has staff that in the event of an emergency can assist our own and has vehicle access and other supports to manage a crisis situation in a safe and orderly way.

In the event of any emergency requiring evacuation, a fire drill procedure would be used. When all students and staff were accounted for we would proceed to Linden Christian School where attendance would again be taken. If we were unable to return to our school building, division personnel would be on site at Van Walleghem to direct parents or guardians to pick up children at the Linden Christian School. School buses would run as usual, transporting children from Linden Christian School to their homes. Otherwise students would be dismissed only to parents or guardians.
